A Repurposed Dress

My sewing machine has been on loan to a friend's daughter who needed it for a school project.  It's come home and believe you me, the fact that the sewing corner has remained 'empty' of my beloved has had me in deep withdrawal and much pining... now that it's home, I've whipped up a skirt from a dress that my daughter has outgrown.  She adores the little heart fabric so asked if I could salvage it somehow... and I did... with much satisfaction I must add!

The original dress - I cut off the top singlet section

Started stitching and added elastic to the waist band

Voila - repurposed skirt!
