A Knitted Blanket

It's going to take a while, but there's progress.  7 squares - another 21 to go.  Hopefully this will get done before the weather gets too hot to knit!  Muted colours that would make it a manly enough blanket for a teenage boy.  I started knitting on the horizontal but discovered that it's much easier making squares when you knit on the diagonal.  A crochet granny square one just to break up the monotony.

  1. The blanket should look good when you finish it Lilian. The colours go well together.

I have been busy knitting too...and I need to finish of some crocheting that I started and never finished. I was going to make a blanket out of small granny squares but have decided to make them into cushions instead.

    Happy knitting :)

  2. Happy knitting/crocheting too Tania! I made a blanket of granny squares - I find them easier because they are smaller and easier to finish when you have a spare 1/2hr here and there. This one is a lot harder because the squares are bigger (30cm) so it just seems a lot longer to knit one square. At least there's only 28 to knit. With the granny square blanket I think I had to knit over a 100...
