Markets ablaze with colour

Markets are all ablaze in colour as the anticipated Year of the Dragon (Chinese calendar) approaches.

It is quite an experience for the kids to visit the local wet (and dry) markets in Singapore where all the food is displayed out in the open and the smells quite overpowering. It brings back childhood memories for me. A lot of the clothing stores have brought out new clothes to purchase as it's traditional to don new clothes to welcome in the New Year. As 2011 draws to a close, we reflect with thanksgiving on the blessings of 2011.
