A repurposed hurricane lamp

An old milk glass ceiling light fixture - I couldn't bear to throw it out... so I lopped off the sharp pointy bit - painted the brassy bits black.  Turned it upside down...

Repurposed an old paint can handle to fit the top.  Found another old ceiling batten light fitting lying around.  Painted that black and... fitted a candle on...

Screwed bottom back on after lighting the candle...voila... soft lighting... hurricane lamp.
