Frank brought home a colander full of black mulberries from someone's backyard... so I went ahead to make a 'preserve' for the first time... didn't add pectin so instead of it becoming clumpy and jam-like, it's more syrup like - yummy when used as a cordial mix (with fizzy mineral water).

Our first crop of white mulberries from our 'tree' planted in the front yard... only 6... hopefully in the years to come we'll have more! They don't look like much but boy are they sweet! |
