A Self Managed and Planned Birthday
Pip planned the whole birthday from start to finish (and did all the prep work too!)
Everyone had a ball - it was the least stressful birthday party I had! Thanks to Pip!
She baked cupcakes (and muffins) and decorated them
Larger muffins decorated with butterflies and hearts
Guests arrived - see the wool - she had plans for them...
Girls making friendship bracelets
Then off to the local park for a play in the gorgeous spring sunshine
Everyone had a turn on the flying fox...
Some had help to make it go even faster!
Everyone on board for a spin...
Then piling on the big swing...
We did stop to chat occasionally...
All her friends
Then back home to open presents and read funny cards...
The cake...turning 12 (1 big candle and 2 little candles)
We sang happy birthday...
Blew out the candles...
Took another pic with friends...
Then sat on mats in the backyard soaking in the sunshine til pick up time...

What a clever girl! So good to see a young person enjoying a simple event with her friends (as opposed to the stage-managed parties that kids seem to have nowadays).
ReplyDeleteYes and I really enjoyed it myself because I could really sit back and just take pics! I think we may have started a trend - her friend is having one at home now too with something similar planned.
