Goodbye Ugly

Ugly turned out to be a rooster.  So I sent him back to the breeder.  Down to 5 hens now which is the actual number I am allowed to keep in the suburban backyard where I am at.  I don’t know if the others miss him.  KyungSue is still my favourite.  She sits on my lap and lets me pet her.  She is a special needs chicken though.  She can’t get up to the top roost where everyone else does.  And she’s unlikely to get up to the nesting boxes either so I will have to set up something lower for her.  She’s adorable though so I don’t really mind.
