A Trip Down South 5
We arrived in Melbourne for a 7 day stint to catch up with family, friends and sight seeing - we had rented a converted church - St Bedes at Elwood (a stone's throw from St Kilda) - it was very reasonable and the hosts were friendly and lovely.
High ceilings with stained glass windows... and wainscotting... |
Our bedroom downstairs... |
The living/dining/kitchen... all with top of the line appliances and furnishings. |
The sparkling kitchen and hallway which leads out... |
Pip on the upstairs mezzanine level... |
If only the walls could speak... such richness! |
There's a little alcove upstairs off the kids' sleeping area for a study nook... |
The original 'vestry' entrance of the church (now the laundry) which leads out to a little private courtyard... |
The washing machine and dryer... |
Exposed beams with skylights... |
Little touches that made us feel so at home! |
I love the cobblestone alleys in Melbourne! |
