A Trip Down South 5

We arrived in Melbourne for a 7 day stint to catch up with family, friends and sight seeing - we had rented a converted church - St Bedes at Elwood (a stone's throw from St Kilda) - it was very reasonable and the hosts were friendly and lovely.

High ceilings with stained glass windows... and wainscotting...

Our bedroom downstairs...

The living/dining/kitchen... all with top of the line appliances and furnishings.

The sparkling kitchen and hallway which leads out...

Pip on the upstairs mezzanine level...

If only the walls could speak... such richness!

There's a little alcove upstairs off the kids' sleeping area for a study nook...

The original 'vestry' entrance of the church (now the laundry) which leads out to a little private courtyard...

The washing machine and dryer...

Exposed beams with skylights...

Little touches that made us feel so at home!

I love the cobblestone alleys in Melbourne!
